I have a friend who plays ED, and swears that you can sell modules modified by engineers at a higher price than unmodified versions of the same modules. Is that the case? I can find no indications that such is the case. It would make sense to me that it should be so, but it also makes sense that modules modified by engineers should take up your re-buy costs as well, and that does not seem to be the case.
I think he is smoking something seriously mind altering, but it is worth looking into if that is the case. He could be just pulling my leg, and seeing if I am fool enough to sell modified modules, either as a joke, or to take me down a notch or two.
As a side note: This would introduce a new side way to make money, although probably not as lucrative as just going to a HRES and collecting bounties or making high profit trades. Still, I can see how it would appeal to some players, especially those transitioning from one ship to another where certain modules may no longer be as useful and you are becoming somewhat cash strapped trying to buy more appropriate modules, as I am now...
Thanks!
