Selling, ships or parts?

Hi guys, is it still the case that it pays to strip your ship for upgrades before selling it, or has this now been evened out? Selling the upgrades seems to give 0% loss as far as I can see.

Just checked, 10% difference!

Sell value for my Cobra, 5.5 mill ish.

Stripped it of all gear in the outfitting screen, sold it, ended up with over 6 million in value. So, strip your ships before you sell them! On a positive note, got my Asp finally

I just stripped my upgraded Adder and got 400k credits more than if I would have sold it at the shipyard.

Oh, really? I thought it didn't actually matter? I'll check this latter when upgrading to the Cobra from my excellent little Adder.

I kind of wish there was a way to buy back your same ship, I thought my next upgrade used a different size FSD, going from Asp to Type 7 and forgot to check about this...going to cost me a mint.

What a hassle, why can't the trade in value just have the same calculation for modules?
