That's just Awesome!!!

(unrelated: what's with that chat box, someone says 13th, someone answers 12.5?)

Looks like they bugs are ganging up on whoever killed them before

I was legit about to suggest station attacks!! this is awesome!

Lets hope station guns can kill them or else RIP.

Shame it's not actually something in-game though. People are just spawning NHSS near The Oracle (i.e within 100-200km of it), engaging the Thargoid and leading them to the station.

Still cool but.

Some CMDRs got really creative with a NHSS that spawned 100km away from the Oracle station, and lured three bugs separately to the station.

1. Bug-station mechanics still not coded
2. Ramming a bug near the station gets you a fine.
3. CMDRs deserve praise for thinking outside the box.

HAHAHAHA, REALLY? Ramming a bug gives you a fine? That is hilarious.

FD had all this time, and they didn't bother to code any interaction between the alien and human factions?

I see your point. Still, with all the talking about delivering The Return in phases, I guess this was (maybe) intended to be available in later small patches. If not, these CMDRs have just provided the ideas FDev needs.

We do want Bugs aggressing stations and winning. We do want to group up to defend said stations. Patiently waiting, Devs. :x

No, you do not. You think it would be cool, but you do NOT want a bug to smash stations.

Why? Because ANYTIME a Commander gets cute and drags a Thargoid to a station, it would do what? Smash the station? So that's potentially hundreds of people with the capacity to either damage or kill the stations, in solo mode, affecting the BGS. It would be UA bombing, but worse? No thanks.

I just think that ALL npcs, of any type, should have faction affiliation. And all affiliations should have default interactions between other factions. So ANY normal human NPC or station that sees a Thargoid should open fire. Sure, special research-faction NPCs might not, but traffic control goes nuts if we speed or loiter. They should go BALLISTIC on seeing a Thargoid, and scream "LAUNCH EVERYTHING!!!"

As soon as that Thargoid got within 20km of the station, it SHOULD have launched a half dozen fighters, and started spewing missiles as soon as the bug got in range.

But maybe someone in charge of the station said, hold on here, they haven't done anything wrong: they were lured here [yesnod]

"Sir, our automated ATC enforcement program is handing out collision fines..."

"Listen, son, I don't know if you've looked outside this morning, but there are GIANT ALIEN SPACESHIPS in the approach corridor!"

"I know, sir, but I was told in the Space Academy to report any aberrant behaviour in Starport For Windows 10 Release 26445606 and later, and..."

"Who cares!?!? Ring Bill Gates XIII and ask him for a patch! Look, can you call up the Dolphin out there and tell him to stop asking for docking permision?"

"Do you have his number, sir?"

"Who? The Dolphin pilot?"

"No, Bill Gates XIII"

"Get out. Get out now, before I put you in an escape pod and feed you to the Thargoids!"

"But the collision fines, sir... 100 credits each time. Since last week's update, it comes out of our pay if it's wrong!"

"Oh, what? Okay, you can stay. Tell all the pilots to stop ramming the Thargoid ships. Make up something about our paint shop not being able to respray over corrosion damage without it flaking off in supercruise."

"Good idea, sir! That'll make them keep their distance!"

"Damn, I'm good at my job."

Yes I do. Calm down

I reckon FDev will put some code in on the next update to cope with them around stations, I bet QA never thought we would take them close.

I shape t at some pont we will fly to a station and it be off line and smashed up.
I still want to see those blast doors in action. I know they have them in the slot.

I took a Thargoid to the conflict zone earlier. Nothing if note happened.

Also, I've found that when I try and jump in to a station where a commander has a Thargoid in the instance I'd enter...it throws me out of the game
