Sense of paintings?

Hello to everyone!

I am new to this forum and like to sent greetings to all of you!

One simple question: Why is frontier trying to sell some fancy paintings for my vessels without giving me the possibility to view it in space?

I know, there is a discussion about external view already, but im just wondering, why it should make sense to pay 5€ for a painting I never see?

why do people get a tattoo on their back that they will never see? because it looks good, you may not be able to see the paint-job while in space but other players can.

I'm not fussed either way about the outside view discussion, but I read your post and though "good point and well made".
Then I thought " so why do I comb the back of my hair then?"
To be honest, if people want to buy them, and it helps financial sustainability, let it be.

I have no problem with it myself, but the OP is right.

Wanting to sell ship paint jobs as part of the business model, and then only have a limited external view like that in the outfitting screen ?

That is a very strange concept.

The very least i'd expect (if i were into the whole vanity thing) is a hangar view similar to the way eve online has it, aka "ship spinning".

I think FD will have to do something about this, or skin sales will suffer.

Vanity items are pretty big business in gaming these days, they'll have to do better than this.
