It'd be great and actually allow us to build somewhat specialised ships. It would make pvp a lot more interesting as well, right now it's all very predictable and same same.

One month and all those specialize pvp ships would all be a few cookie cutter builds. Not saying I wouldn't like it, but your optimism is high.

That will always happen to an extent, at least it would allow more variety than we currently have. Tbh there's a bunch of stuff that needs ripping up or reworking. Not least scb, armour and sub modules, scanners and weapon balance.
