Hardware & Technical Separate voice from game audio

Hello community,

I am currently playing elite dangerous.
I have a Corsair gaming headset that connects wirelessly through a dongle plugged into a USB port.

When I "wing up" in-game the voice audio and game audio both either come through my headset or the monitor speakers.

I would like to separate them so that all voice chat happens through the headset and all other audio comes through monitor speakers.

Open Playback Devices:

Default playback device set your speakers

Comms playback device set your headset

...but ... Does that work in Elite Dangerous? - It is how I have it for flight sims - never tried it in E D.
