Serious bug at Kappa Fornacis

Just a heads up guy's, whilst on a rare trade run I stopped of at Kappa Fornacis, there is a number of Capital ships around the main planet. One ship was quite near my target station. I decided to take a look and disengaged the FSD.

The game dropped me out of warp inside the Cap ship. I was in a 50 million credit clipper with 1 million+ credits worth of rare goods on board.

I guess i'll just have to suck it up, but that's a pretty f'ed up way to lose a nights work. I wont be 'investigating' anything with valuable cargo in the future..

Yeah maybe I should do that. Regarding cash, I just traded heavily, stripped down my Type-6 and eventually moved up to a Type-7. Once you get the T7 you make money incredibly fast.

I'm not so much p'd off about paying all that insurance and losing cash, it's more about the massive effort and pre planning that goes into flying these ultra long rare trade routes. Am sat now in the middle of nowhere (George Pantazis) with not enough insurance for my Clipper & no Cargo, will have to sell off parts off the ship to cover insurance :/

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately these "event's" are not limited to certain conflict sites within the game.
Approx. twenty minutes ago my Clipper and 165t of imperial slaves just "exploded" half-way through the docking tube at Riedquat, (La Soeur Du Dan Ham).

Sorry to hear that. Was it insta-kill or did it grind your hull for some time? I guess this is the situation why I keep killtask for elite dangerous hotkeyed.

That's a lesson most traders learn eventually I think. It can even happen with Orbis stations so it's a good idea to reduce thrust to 0 when dropping out of SC at an Orbis.

Ticket it, they may refund some credits.

I always drop out with zero throttle. It dropped me into normal space, the cap ship didn't appear for a few seconds, then all of a sudden it loads at my location. Instant death, I've seen the Orbis bug before, but you get a chance to exit the game before you die.
