Serious Q - Easy Credits

Serious question time. Perhaps I'm a little dull, or being thick, or something. But here's the thing, every time people find a way to earn credits quickly FD nerf it. Fine, it's their game they can do what they like.

But, and without inciting a flame war or similar, why? Why is earning credits quickly a bad thing? Sure you get a big ship easier, although by big we obviously stop at the T9/Conda because others are rank locked. Perhaps it enables you to get a FdL or something too fast and thus splatter new pilots? But only a third of people play open and your starter Sidey will get splattered by almost anything. If everyone can get credits quickly, who cares who has the most, or fewest or anything? We can't do anything with them other than buy ships. And Engineers > regular parts, so money doesn't adjust that either.

Now I understand that if we do randomly discover some method to earn creds fast that skips a bit of the middle game, but I played regular Elite and Frontier for months without feeling like I achieved anything, whereas with this I was quickly up and running. I have enjoyed the game much more.

BUT, and this I guess is my point, is that I love playing games without the limits of credits or power or whatever so I can focus on the game bit. That's my choice. Just like if you want to roleplay a pilot who only owns an shieldless Adder and trades only in Water, nobody stops you doing that. So, again I ask, factually, in a basically SP game where you can only buy and fly a single ship, what is the problem with people earning credits easily when it doesn't affect anyone else at all?

Maybe they like keeping it fresh?

I've been playing for eighteen months and only got around 250 mill in the bank. No idea what Ive been wasting my time at really but then I don't grind and won't haul poop. I don't mode switch either and pretty much always play open. As a Pirate so it's no surprise I'm poor really.

Hmmm, thinking about it, when you hear about the next exploit give me a nudge will you I'm getting tired of not being a high roller.

I might even get to try these ship launches fighters I've been hearing about then.

When players are only doing the credit exploit of the month, they do nothing else. Then they complain that the game is repetitive.

But if you stop obsessing about the credits and just play the game, the credits will still come (slower). You will enjoy the game far more.

I can't smile wide enough.
