Really, it's not like the gyrospheres where they would be out of place. Just give the building a different color scheme. It would give JP era parks more variation too.

You can't. There is no aviary (no lagoon either) for JP era, which is quite sad.
There isn't one. I started a thread about that. You should join it if that interests you. Frontier has responded to it, so if more people join it, it might increase the odds of that issue being addressed.

When you go to build a park in sandbox you have to choose both building types in the starting menu. It's the one where you can choose creative mode. If you choose that you can use both JW and JP buildings and attractions and that includes the JW glass dome aviary and the lagoons.
But if you choose both buildings you gets stuck with a transportation rating which means the monorail system. If you want to try and run a park in sandbox with all the management concerns of a regular park ignoring the transportation rating will cause issues with your build. Of course JP didn't have a monorail system.
Also there is no JP style aviary to use in this game, There is a aviary in the campaign that looks good but we can't use campaign assets in sandbox. There is no JP themed lagoon either. If you choose to build a JP themed park only you don't have access to any aviary, the lagoon, flying reptiles or marine reptiles. Basically for wanting to play a JP themed park only you are punished by being cut out of 50% of the new content.
You can only choose to use both JP and JW building types on PC and new consoles. So if you are using a PS4 or Xbox One you can't use them at all unless you choose the JW buildings. You can't mix eras on the older consoles.

All true, and it all makes me sad.
I don't understand what you're asking for because I literally made (rather accidentally) almost the exact tour ride setup that Jurassic Park had around the Tyrannosaur paddock using the iconic automated track-using vehicles. They even had a voice over talking about the dinosaurs in a similar-sounding voice when you "rode" the ride.
Like... They have the exact thing you want, at least in the JP Chaos Theory mode.
I made a post regarding the lack of Lagoons or Aviaries titled "Why does Frontier seem hate Jurassic Park so much?". If that interests you, you should go to it. Frontier has responded to it so they are reading that thread; the more people participate in it, the more likely we can get that issue fixed. I meant the tour trucks, not the ford explorers.
What are the tour trucks? Perhaps if you posted a picture it would make a bit more sense - to me, at least.
All I remember from the films were the explorers being used in exactly the way you are describing.
I'm trying to figure out how you didn't know what I was talking about after I said I was not talking about the Ford Explorers. There's only two automobile based attractions in the entire game.
