News Server down time and Elite: Dangerous for Mac

I've just done a bit of cheeky bounty hunting, and I have to say thanks FD for another great job! Ran it on ultra, and even forgot to shut down two virtual servers and a virtual Win8 machine in the background - still didn't notice any performance dip from the boot camped PC version!

Just been logged in on my Mac and successfully left the station I was in, hyperspaced to next system and docked, 60 fps most of the time.

Unfortunately I can't say the same for my MacBook Air - crashes on loading the game every time. Would have been good for occasions like Lavecon where I don't want to uproot my main system(s).

Flew a mission to Shinrarta to upgrade my vulture, 20 jumps from Daii and then back again with a much better 9 jumps to claim a large combat bond in Chere. Good to be playing on my mac properly at last. Lovely, great work FD.

because of the certification process for patches for the xbox version would mean that the version of the game on the pc/mac would at times be ahead of the version available on the Xbox
