We shut the borders to the UK because of Corona.
Maybe the packets don't get through?
Maintenance is thursdays (at 8 utc I guess?).
Sometimes the servers hickup, can happen. Or your connection is bad, dust off your router...
I know its generally Thursdays thays why i was surprised
And I have FTTP so i doubt its on my end.

Maybe the data is coming over in haulage trucks? They are currently jamming up the entire county of Kent!

Hmmm, I logged on a few minutes ago just to pick up the arx without any noticeable problems, so it seems fine here in the UK. Meanwhile something odd has happened to the forum layout. OK the forums back to normal.
Yes was having same issues a lot of game menus loading very slowly as well, seems lagged badly ATM.
Taupe Cobra. Everything is taking forever to load or instance. It's been this way all day. Frontier? Any update on when this will be fixed?
Edit: Finally connected on 5th attempt. Now I just get to enjoy 30+ seconds of it trying to enter or exit supercruise or just disconnecting altogether during instance changes. What is going on?

Same here. Been having really long loads and a couple no-connects the last couple of days. Entering maps, starting/ending supercruise and FSD, none of my other online services seem affected, just ED/Frontier. Downdetector showed a few spikes today for ED. I tried launching outside of Steam, and it made no difference. Not sure what else to try, but I'm not good at networking.
Even Star Citizen is running better than normal (not to compare, just pointing out that other services don't seem to be affected, and SC always gives me trouble).

Happened to me repeatedly last night. I think Frontier is on Tea Time until after the new year.
