News Server Restart - 09:30BST

Just a quick note to let you know that we're restarting the servers today at approximately 09:30 BST. The downtime should be minimal, you'll be kicked off the servers if you're playing but you should be able to reconnect within 10 minutes.

Is there any in-game mechanism for announcements like these? "Your ship has detected a reliability issue, and needs to restart in 20 minutes". Not everyone visits these forums. (Crazy, I know).

But..but... if the universe is down for 10 minutes.... where do we wait? Is there any time to measure?

Personally, I consider this an exploit. God couldn't handle reality, so just deity-logged.

I'm still down too - oh, I HATE these periodic downtimes! Why can't they happen at, say, 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon? Why on the weekend when I actually have time to log on? Ugh - almost makes me want to check out StarCitizen (almost...)

Go and check it out, it'll take 36hrs to download all 40gb of it and then you'll find out its at best a buggy two map tech demo (I own it for what its worth).
