Server Status and Maintenance

Hi Folks,

After returning to ED after a long break (few yrs) I am getting frustrated with my inability to find the server status anywhere. It used to just be on the webiste. I have searched high and low and can not find it anywhere. I have done numerous searches, to no avail. Can anyone please tell me where I can find the Server Status for ED these days ?

And following on from that, where can I find the server maintenance schedule. I have asked this before and the answer was essentially, "it's weekly, everyone knows when it is ...". It would be nice to know exactly when that is. Again, after numerous searches ... I can't find any info anywhere.

Any information or direction in relation to the above would be massively appreciated. TIA !

That isn't particularly helpful, you get messages saying can't connect to servers, but there is nothing anywhere to indicate if the servers are actually up or down, so ... you know ... might be you , might be them.

As to maintenance time ... some of us are very time poor ... so it would be great to know when that is going to happen so you can, you know, schedule your play time.

On the screen where you get to press "play", bottom left hand corner

There is a weekly server tick every Thursday morning UTC/GMT.

Scheduled updates/patches will be notified in the forum, as will irregular ones.

Regular maintenance happens at 0700 UTC every Thursday, and doesn't usually last very long (15-30 minutes)

Longer planned maintenance tends to only happen for new releases. There's no specific schedule for those, they'll be announced a day or so before (or sometimes more) in the News subforum. No future ones have been announced at this time; Update 17 is expected some time later in the year.

Obviously "unplanned maintenance" can happen any time but is generally rare nowadays. Again, News forum would mention it if it happens while anyone at Frontier is awake to do so.
