Servers Off Again

Once again Frontier staff, turning off the servers completely without giving a dam about the players logged into the game at the time.

No notifications what so ever, absolutely no respect from the Frontier staff or its customers.

Then maybe they shouldnt be using Amazon Servers that affect the game then should they and get more stable servers that they actually own especially when folk have paid for a 40.00 update with odyssey and with the aded pressure the current servers are going to be under.

In my experience Frontier servers are actually pretty stable, can't demand 100% uptime anyway. Capacity issues handling lots of traffic on the other hand...

Owning their own servers? Perhaps you'd prefer if we paid a hefty subscription fee to keep those pricey things running. Many companies use cloud based servers today because it's far more economical. Frontier isn't running anything so precious that it needs self-hosting, and self-hosting doesn't make one immune to unexpected outages.

I would rather pay a small fee and have servers stable, than not and have servers unsuitable and unstable at times yes, Personally I think it would improve game stability and in house server management. Many games have monthly subscriptions if you love the game, you would pay anyway to support it.

If I were to pay a sub fee in ED, I wouldn't wanna pay that for a 100% uptime, I would like them to do a lot of other things with that money, things that need to be done.
