My internet connection is working fine. Is anyone else getting this or is it only me?

Me too I just bought Elite Dangerous Horizons from Steam yesterday and it has been like that since.

Try closing the launcher and opening it again, mine does that occasioanlly but in playing just fine right now

In launcher, the server status: OK but in game still cannot connect to frontier servers and I had been open and close it like 10 times and finished all train missions.

I came back from a long break to discover I cannot play the game... Le sigh. It seems that this game has become riddled with problems these days, after a closer examination of forums, and comment sections on current youtube videos. Of people playing... So the game works, for some, it appears. Just not us. Any luck with you four above in this regard?

There was another thread on this recently, restarting the PC to apply a windows update solved it. Worth a try

As some seem to be playing just fine, it's likely not to do with frontier (they have been guilty in the past). While your internet maybe working fine, there can be a lot of things that can go wrong between your computer and the games servers that have nothing to do with either party.

I had the same problem and I fixed it by changing the network settings in the Elite Dangerous game settings. My adapter was Hamachi (for LAN gaming), after I changed it to Ethernet and restarted the game the connection issue was fixed. What I think is weird that it was by default on Hamachi?

I'm on the PlayStation 4 in this problems happening I can play on Wi-Fi which is way weaker than the ethernet I only get 50 megabytes per second on Wi-Fi and on ethernet I get around 3 to 400 megabytes per second and I'm having this problem why I'm on the PlayStation 4

the servers can not take all the people that are on them. it is slowing things down and disconnecting.

I had some problem, where I couldn't login after I'd been kicked off by a server fault. I found out that if I logoff from the launcher, then login to it again, I can always login back into the game at the first attempt unless all the servers are down for whatever reason.

Don't like resurrecting old threads, but also don't like starting new ones when those old ones haven't yet been answered.

Having the same issue here in June 2020, and NO other online game suffers this on my system.

Has anyone uncovered a valid fix? None of the above proposals answer the mail, and I am using NordVPN.

I've tried all things still "failure to connect to frontiers servers" since Jan 2020. been trying new stuff to and posting and i get deleted with no explanation

The thread that appears to have been deleted was not made by you and had already been locked as the posted info in the OP was superceded. Your posts were saying that the info didn't help you. You will be better served in the PC sub-forum and with a bit of luck someone will be able to help you there.

So i just had this issue just now, and i managed to fix it by going to the Ingame options, Network and the game for some reason decided to use my Hamachi has the default network, I simply changed it and restarted my game\steam and it worked, hope this helps.

I also read that using VPN, caused the same issue, try disabling it.

We have an active issue tracker item about E D not working with NordVPN - some people like to use VPNs on the net - E D blocking this one is annoying.
