Set-up of utility mounts on Anaconda

So, I now have my conda at long last and in outfitting I can see that there are a load of utility mounts - top and bottom, front and back. Where would be the best places to mount chaff launchers and point defence turrets? I was thinking point defence at the back top and bottom and chaff on the front mounts but maybe a full mix of top/bottom/front/back would cover all angles? Anyone with more experience of condas than I have, ideas gratefully received. This is principally to deal with interdictions as the Conda is my trade ship so (currently) that would be a single opponent only - I assume an interdiction of a conda is going to be a top level npc ship/pilot only.

You'd want to put the point defences where they don't shoot down your own missiles. Mounting missiles on C1 hardpoints on the underside is popular because they pack a punch and C1 lasers / mass drivers do piddling damage compared to your 3 C3 and 1 C4 hardpoint. That means the 2 utility slots on the front underside cannot be point defences if you want to do this.

If you're doing the same for the L2 hardpoints, you pretty much cannot have point defences at the front of the ship. That also means coping with a PD blindspot, but if you get interdicted in PVP, they will usually go after your back for thrusters anyway. If you have 4 PDs at the back, all you need to worry about are railguns, pretty much.

If you're not using missiles, I assume you'd want balanced PD coverage amongst chaff/heat sinks/ECM.

Thanks for the advice. I probably won't use missiles as I have no experience with them. I'm conscious that I'm probably trying to outfit the conda like a fighter with a massive forward firing offence and that is probably wrong. I think it is going to take some thinking about. I haven't used any turrets up to this point either, even on my T9, but perhaps the conda is the ship they might be useful for.

You don't really need to use turrets if you don't want to with an Anaconda, though they can be helpful to use too.
