Horizons Settlement Data Points

I realized that when you scan all data points once in a settlement and get the benefits you can not do that second time when you get a mission for the settlement. I tried going to same settlement and scanning data points did not work for the other day of my game session despite I had mission. Do the settlement data points reset after a while or a scanned settlement can never be scanned again forever ?

they get a reset.

some say onve a week, some say every two and half week.

after 3 weeks they are reset - i can tell from experience.
