Settlement Defense Plans

What the hell is going on? More than 100 landings in the ++ settlement (12 minutes each = 20+ hours) and I have 2 of 15 now. How should I unlock engineer? This is not grind. This is hardcore when Dark Souls nervously smokes.

C'mon man.

It's literally in a thread named Settlement Defense Plans on the first page.

Do you need me to get the 15 SDP for you too? I've actually done that for someone else that was claiming it was too hard and I did that in a day too.

Don't get me wrong. 15 is too much. It's crappy gameplay. Hard to do, it is not. You can even watch a show while you're doing it.

It's crappy gameplay.
Man from link said "I tried collecting them during "normal" gameplay, after now around half a year i never got one. So i resorted to the maximum gameplay relog loop."
Yes, such mechanics are boring and gameplay is basing on exploits.

Thanks for the way, I'm going to find liberation missions

now buckle up and get Relog Elite 5

Disclaimer. I never did this, since it's a personal crusade I have to not use relog mechanisms. And to be fair, it's very, very, very few, if even more than 1 instance, where one can feel the need to do this. In my questionable opinion
SDP needs to drop elsewhere aswell (without stealing the spot of something else, so not that easy to do) and/or increase the drop rate/chance and/or the req needs to be reduced to 5.
Or all the above

Well, I've been hitting up as many Irregular Marker (Threat Level *) sites as heavy as I can the past 3 days (roughly 20-30 hours of game play) and while I can find a number of these sites I've collected exactly 3 SDP in three days, one per day in different systems. And when I found one, I made sure to do the whole relog thing, 15-20 times per site, and only 1 per day.

I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but it saved my sanity: Just don't collect them. Go do something more fun instead.

The engineers who are unlocked by collecting these things have the same offerings as other engineers who are unlocked by collecting things that are less annoying to find.

You are only missing out on the Headshot Damage mod. I guess you would have to make your own determination about if that one mod is worth the grief.

The only mod that you miss out on by not getting SDPs is headshot damage. A mod that finds more utility with PvPers and not us lesser mortals. Or so I have read.

You can often wind a weapon with the headshot mod already on, and that saves a lot of time and effort.

May still be where I found it.

The best missions I have found tend to be the ones to recover 4 bootleg liquor (or 4 of other stuff). More such missions seem to get thrown up by faction in retreat.

I found that in 20 relogs I was averaging more than 1 SDP, especially with 2 skimmers. I have even had 2 SDPs from one data port.

Oh, I missed the headshot damage mod.

I take back my previous statement about mod availability, then, because it's untrue.

(I, personally, still don't think farming SDP are worth the hassle)

A P15 with headshot has utility as a stealth weapon, it's easier than timing a tormentor and hoping your target doesn't twitch at the last second.

I decided that since they are only used to unlock an engineer and the only benefit is another engineer up the line provides Head Shot Damage that I would skip it. None of the engineers up that line offer anything that anyone already unlocked didn't offer. And I really have no desire to increase HS damage, especially when getting head shots is not easy for me. And when running around a CZ there's other mods that would benefit me more. So yeah, I moved a bunch of data mats to my FC and sold them.
