Settlement Raid - tipped off

Ah, the weapon slot. I grokked that at the start, but it always seems weird when I go out with the Dom suit on, thinking it's the Maverick, and when I press D Up, nothing happens...

The dom suit is odd since unless I'm in a CZ I get used to the primary/sidearm combo and I'm used to tapping my "swap weapon" keybind and having it cycle between primary and sidearm rather than two primaries.
The worst part is that when I have my weapon holstered, normally tapping that key quickdraws my pistol (which is what I usually want when I've baited a guard into scanning me) and I don't want to whip out a long gun.

Tip-offs never happen if you apex there directly from taking the mission. The die-roll for those sorts of mission wrinkles ("target fleeing" for assassination/takedown missions being another example) happens when you undock from the station/settlement in your ship.

If they do get tipped off though, don't worry. The mission doesn't update/activate until you're within 2.5km of the settlement. If you touch down outside that radius, before the mission update pops up on the screen and gives you your objectives, the settlement won't turn hostile. You can then disembark and dismiss your ship without it being fired upon.
Much appreciated. Right on, Commander!

The Maverick has the cutter, the Artemis has the sampler, but the Dominator really needs something that chimes with its basic military function

Dominator has the extra weapon, stronger shields and increased storage for grenades.
Not sure it misses anything except maybe the standard issue army shovel 😂
