Settlement Security Level?

Is there a way to determine the security level for a planetary settlement? Not the security level for the system as that can be accessed from the galaxy map.

If I access the system map from the galaxy map, select a planetary settlement and check the data on the left panel it does not list the level of security, thinking about skimmer missions and it would be a real help to know what I am likely to encounter when accessing the galaxy map from a mission choice, I am aware low level is just skimmers, medium and high contain better defences and Goliath's etc and that they come in four sizes, I thought maybe I had to scan / sat nav or dock but no data seems to be available unless you read it from the locations tab when actually in the system.

Am I missing something?

The name of the settlement has a hint, fat joes all you can eat burger pit + low security, Lord Chuffington hidden money vault ++++ security up to the eye balls. So look for the plus marks to work it out

Yes like Armholeeio said. If you look at a mission for skimmers etc etc then it tells the name of the outpost. If only the name shows then that means pretty much zero or very low security. Mainly just a few skimmers. And then it goes from + to ++++ where ++++ is super tough security.

The plus signs do not in my experience show security, they show the size of the settlement, I have encountered numerous +++ in the settlement name, those bases were either low, medium or high security. The ones with no + are one or two buildings, I did a search on Google a while ago to confirm, from the Wiki;

The Settlement size is indicated by a varying number of + signs, the more +'s the bigger the settlement. A settlement without any + signs is usually only 1 or 2 buildings.

Seems an oversight from FD, the security level should be on the settlement data when having the cursor over the settlement when zoomed into the planet. I have to do a recon jump to surrounding systems at present to determine the security levels before taking the missions, hence I thought I was missing something.

Interesting....
I've always interpreted the "+" to mean security, there is this post on Reddit that has a spreadsheet link in the comments from a year ago but they are discussing another thing. They do mention it and I assumed it was consistent that security was the ++++ not the size.

It was mentioned in an earlier Reddit post that its size so thanks for replying.

If anyone is curious...here is the older post - https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDange..._does_the_plus_signs_on_planetary_base_names/
