I was round a mates the other night when I noticed he'd installed the Spotify app on his PS4.

What with him being a discerning Junglist I began to berate him on why all of a sudden he'd turned into a frilly knickered Ed Sherian loving lady boy? ( Big love to all da Identity politic crew. Peace!)

"Nah blud!" Says he. "If you install the Spotify app on your PS4 you can turn off the music on a game, load up Spotify and have your own selection playing through Spotify"

"Meh!?" Says I. "So you listen to Ed Sherian while getting your kicked? Your frilly knickers must be Mahoosive! Cus you is a big girl innit!!?"

"Sweary stuff" Says he. "If you can deal with the rather over complicated navigation panel, Spotify has got quite a range of tunage, blud!"

"Meh!" Says I, and we carry on talking rubbish about something or other.


Then I go home and go to sleep.

Next morning I wake up to news of a Guardian mission that requires a rather long trip out the bubble. Downloaded the Spotify app and rocked some sweet Beastie Boys out to a phat Guardian site.

The moral of this story...

You get to play your own tunes(within the confines of Spotify and with some adverts (unless you're gullible enough to pay for a subscription))while explorin

Why would it be gullible to pay for Spotify Premium ?
I mean, I work all day to get money, why shouldn't I pay money for something I like ? Just because I can get it for free elsewhere ? Meh. People pay for Netflix cuz it's easy and clean, same goes for Spotify :)

Other than that, yeah Spotify is a great tool. But then again, the ED soundtrack is great aswell, depends on my mood !
(There are great playlists on YouTube aswell !)

...or you could buy a mini mixer because you use Apple Music for a totallly over engineered solution.

Me normally preload for elite by ‘avin a smoke an bustin da tunes, coz if me play me tunes, i iz sometimez distractid an do bare crashin into stars an stuff, ya get me?

Synthesizers/Sequencers are great while playing PS4 :p

Instead of running spotify, i have my small mixer with both ps4 audio and a secondary input. I plug my sequencers and improvise some experimental stuff while flying around in space (ED player here).
