I don't know what this means but I hate the antialising in this game. How do I do this in plain English? I have a 4070 super

Good news, you can enable DLDSR with an rtx4070.
In the Nvidia Control panel, set it to 2.25x or 1.78x. launch the game and set a resolution higher than what your display is.

I have this issue and TBH im not playing ED anymore.
I hate it. Its ugly and distracting and until its fixed this game can rot on the shelf.

If frontier want to encourage new players and old into the game with shiny new things all well and good. But honestly.... fix this, if anything.

it's worse than it's ever been for me after the update. Previously it was an occasional annoyance when transitioning between certain distances, now it's constant and sometimes really ugly.

Also they had already fixed it once a couple of updates ago, they just managed to resurrect the bug in a subsequent update.

Ha, I thought it wasn't an issue for that long, so that makes sense.

About the shadow flickering, you can edit the game graphics XML. I tried it recently and, although. Not perfect it's a great improvment.

Colour me skeptical... how much of an improvement would you reckon? 50%? 95%? Genuinely curious to see if it's worth bothering with.

Well, instead of seeing the shadows flicker, now I sometimes see some large blobs of shadow growing in and out some areas. Not perfect but way less noticeable.
Try it yourself, it's easy. Just need to copy the file over, and set one of the shadow settings to Low as instructed.
