I've been enjoying this recently released game:

And yes, it's exactly as brutal as the videos suggest, though a lot more fast-paced, too.

Completed it on Insane recently. Will go for another playthrough someday, I need a pause from this madness

I'm on my second playthrough - so much fun! Love the movement, you can zip around the levels at insane speeds, hacking and slashing as you go. Hardly ever use guns (though they are fun, too), melee is were it's at for me. Highly recommended!
