Shadowplay/nVidia Experience Borked

It got me again. I wanted to record some more footage for Youtube, but as soon as I started, nVidia Experience disappeared because there was an update. I did the update, and have hot error 0x0003 ever since. I've tried all the things on the nVidia forum, including a clean install, but it's still the same.I cannot understand why they don't give you the possibility to rollback when they've messed up. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Depending on Windows version, you should be able to block Windows Update from installing new drivers, manually purge your current driver, then use whatever version you care to.

However, I'd also recommend OBS over Shadowplay. OBS can use NVENC, giving it the same advantages as Shadowplay, but has significantly more customization options and is not tied to NVIDIA Experience. Slightly more involved to setup though.

I abandoned nVidia Experience long ago. Just too many problems all the time.

I switched to OBS Studio and second the recommendation. It works much better and I have greater control over every aspect of the recording/streaming process.

I've been using windows Gamepad or whatever it's called, since my nVidia stopped working. It too has it's bugs. It took me hours of frustration to find out that it only records the mic if you switch it off and on again after you start recording.

As an aside, before my nVidia packed up, it used to keep losing the recordings. I discovered that if I didn't remove the previous one from the folder, the next one just disappeared. that was really frustrating when you're trying to tell a story, and when you got to the end of four parts, two of them were missing.
