Shadows of Mordor?

Anyone seen this game?

Looks like lots of fun, I defintely see this one as a console game, so have ordered it for my new shiny PS4.

It features an interesting system - The Nemesis system, whereby enemies you encounter (Orcs), are able to level up, carry out their own missions and grow in strength, they also fight amongst themselves and betray each other to move up the ranks.

I honestly dont know these days which review sites are the best to look at , but I hear good things about total biscuit.

Thsi game is So Addictive....

T o play. I just love taking down a mob of Uruk's by alternating between direct sword swings auto-targeting Uruks coming at my ranger from the side and behind me, but always delivering some sort of counter attack. Wether it be a kick or a swing of his back hand or grab and drop or throw.

Now he throws multiple daggers and when the sword glows blue it's automatic execution time.

I don't mind that most of the combat mechanics are a lot like driving car with automatic gears. It 's still great fun . Even if some of the special abilities don't make sense. Like being able to run a like a swift elf after jumping some obstacle like a rock or fallen log or the fact that your ranger is stranded in area surrounded by the Uruks. the whole time.

His emo hair cut......oh well!

I'm really enjoying it, the Nemesis system is great, I have fought some interesting character over the last few weeks.

I have one Warchief left to take out, so last night I went off to take care of his bodygard first - 'Babagub back-blade' a Legendary captain.

He was a combat master, invunerable to stealth, ranged, able to leap, run etcs, the only weaknesses were explosions fear of mounted targets.

I joined an ambush against him and tried to fight him but I just could not bring him down, so I left him to the Orcs that were the original ambush crew and slowly they did the job for me.

I like the combat, alhtough its not particularly difficult, it is fun and if you do make a mistake or two , you will need to retreat.

it really does feel like the films sometimes when you are fighting hordes or Orcs/Uruks.

Im actually not too far in mission wise, I am on the last warchief to kill on the Ratbag mission.

Eh? :S Depends on your PC of course, but I read that with a high-end PC you'll get the best visuals... not to mention that the PS4 and XBone are both locked at 30fps. I saw somewhere else that LoD at distances was reduced on the console too.

the FPS think really doesnt mean much to me at all, it plays great on the PS4 and the graphics are perfect.

I just mean that some games, ie -the more action orientated ones, I tend to prefer on the console.

that includes sports games.

Just my strange way of thinking.

Ah, fair do's to you... I thought you were posting an objective view, rather than subjective, sorry! :p I'll get it on PC... eventually. :)
