share profit from crew member + ranks

If i hire a harmless crew member with a 2% share profit (if i'm not wrong), does the share increase if she/he ranks up ?

Not so far.

I contracted a "Mostly Harmless" at 4% and leveled her up to Novice and she is still at 4%.
