Do they Stack, and if so are there diminishing returns or is it truly cumulative?

They add shield strength based on the ships base value and do stack additive. Let's say you have 100mj shield and put in an A booster (+20%). You'll have 120mj then. A second one is calculated on the base value, too, so you would have 140mj then. 5 A booster would give you 200mj shields.
