Shield Cell Banks - Mulltiple Cells per Bank?

So I found where I can purchase Shield Cell Banks however I have some questions ---

1) I notice my modules panel shows (1/6) for my cell bank, is there a way to stack multiple shield cells per bank? I bought two and it takes a second internal slot with the second bank showing (1/6) just like the first. What gives?
2) Also, what does the rating effect? Recharge rate? Recharge amount? I don't see anything in the description when buying one however they have multiple racks with different ratings. (A1,B2, etc...)

Thanks for any help. :)

They use ammo, each has 6 charges, using it will use up 1 charge (and only 1 charge can be loaded at once, so 1 loaded out of 6 carried). You can have more than one, assigned to different fire buttons, and so they stack in that sense (I understand - though have never tried it.)

Ratings are always a bit obscure, I would just take it that it is "better at its job" so most likely gives a bigger boost to your shields. Don't forget, they don't do anything once your shields are actually down!

I just tried replacing my C2 shield cell bank with an A4 shield cell bank and the module number went from 1/6 for the C2 to 1/1 for the A4 ?? I wonder if that means the A4 only has one charge? If so that sucks beans. :) One charge of the C2 powers my shields all the way up so replacing with an A4 that only has 1 charge would be a waste.

A banks fill more. It may be feasible to use those instead of . On my Asp I use 2x B3 cells. 1x doesn't seem to charge enough. I use the binding for cells and i think that in consumes 2 at once.

Me too. I wonder if stacked shield cell banks recharge shields more or faster or both? However i suspect that it actually wastes second charge. 'Use shield cell' action should use one charge only.

Cheers,
Misa :)

The key bind for the shield cell uses 1 cell from one bank at a time, i cant tell you what the ordering is though (as i have only A's fitted), i presume if you have 2 cell banks 1 of class A and 1 of class B, class A is used first until it has no more charges, after which class B is then used.

Can anyone break this tie? Total waste if both charge at once yes?

they are OP as it is, why do you need 2 of em?

when i bought my c3 it only had one cell loaded, i had to pay for a full reload.
