Shield Generators in Military Compartments

A shield generator definitely protects the vessel as does a HRP or MRP. So why not considering shield generators fitting into military compartments? You can even put shield cell banks there. Otherwise limited ships like the Vulture could become a light multipurpose vessel that way.

A shield is a shield. It's a essential part of ship defense used by civilian, private and military craft. It's no strictly limited to military use.

It's basically a Lithobraking Assistance Module.
So it's not Military, but more like docking computers..

Game play reasons. Technically all modules could be in military slots.

I think you should only get mil slots if you reach certain mil ranks and do combat zone fighting.

And yet 15 of my 20 ships don't carry weapons. They all carry shields. Definitely not a military component.

Sure but the HRP module is not limited to Military slots only. Military slots are optional for military use. For additional defense. Shield Cell Banks and additional Armor.
