Shield Indicator In Front Cockpit View

Don't you think that after all those improvements in Chapter 4 , would be nice to have a Shield Indicator (More Detailed) describing how many MJ's we have , how many MJ's are left during fight and the exact MJ's regenation rate and estimated time for 50% and 100% recharging?
 
Honestly no. I can see why some people would find that useful it's just be screen spam to me. Why would you make that single element so detailed and number based when almost everything else is so clearly based on feel and readability?

More detailed 'Digital' readouts would be great for many parts of the HUD display. As Cmdr 2301 points out, it would be pointless for the majority of cmdrs that don't care about more accurate displays. An option to configure HUD readouts in the ships panel would work, doubt the devs would invest the time in it though.
 
in the heat of a full on fight it is much easier for the brain to take in simple pictures rather than convert text....or it is for my brain so a big NO NO from me.

I wouldn't mind having this info somewhere in the panels, but not during a battle.
 
No. The ring display shows all of that data, but in a intuitive visual manner. I certainly use the rings and their reaction to a asses a threat. Maybe this is even a case of 'less is more'.
 
If the 3 rings became 5 rings it would help maybe? A 20% increment would have a greater degree of precision than a 33.333% increment without sacrificing the easy to read qualitative aspect. I'm sure someone thought of it already though and figured 3 was better.
