I find it strange that there is no shield % indicator on the hud, yes there are the 3 shield health rings but no %. This seems strange as when you scan any ship the result gives you a % value for both their hull and shields but there is nowhere in you own ships systems to find your own %. Could this be added to the hud perhaps above the existing shield display so as not to be confusesed with the hull %? I find it most annoying waiting for shields to recharge with no visible sign of how near fully charged they are. but any passing ship that scans me knows exactly what my shield strength is ... it strikes me as bizzare

Lots of bizarre things in ED, but I'm usually in favor of more info to the player. I'd like to see the accelerator show a percentage too.
You can actually see it on the buggy/slf panel in your lap.
