Engineers Shield Strength on different ships - Can someone please explain this for me?

I have a 6D Enhanced Low Power shield which gives these results:

Asp Explorer 188.7MJ
Anaconda 374.6MJ

Why does the Anaconda have much greater shields with the same shield even though it has much greater mass than the AspX?

I'd appreciate it if someone could explain this to me please?

Thanks in Advance!

Each ship has a base shield modifier that along with hull mass defines the shield strength so the same shield will give different results on different ships, essentially it allows each ship to have individual characteristics since two ships with the same hull mass would end up with the same shield strength, instead we have ships with better/harder armour, more hit points, different shield performance etc.

The technobabble answer would be that the Conda has higher performance shield emitters than the Asp and makes better use of the shield energy supplied by the generator, it's also a lot easier to land hits on a Conda sized ship than a Viper sized one so the big 3 need much more powerful shields to start with.

Ceekay has the right explanation.
The differences are caused by the different core internal builds of the ships. It is the underlying structure that influences the end result.
FD uses modifiers to create these differences between ships.
Ships are technically fundamentally different on a level we do not influence by adding certain modules. This adds nice individual variations between ship types.
The big Anaconda has all kinds of stuff build in from the ground up that enables it to project a stronger shield that is appropriate for a ship of that size.
