PvP Shieldless FAS Experts: How Do You Deal With Missiles?

If you see an fdl with seakers just msg them in comms "really? Missiles for pvp? Git gud scrub" and leave.
I'm not into the shaming game just cos someone's got a loadout I'll have a tough time against. The beauty of Open is you can't cherry pick and only go after easy prey - well I mean you can but I don't. I prefer to fight whatever pulls me over or is ganking non-combatants. If I don't want to die I can always high wake. If I win a tough fight against a counter build the satisfaction is very rewarding.

Thanks for the advice, I will give this a go. My worry with a shielded FAS was that a decent FDL pilot with fixed weapons would keep ripping that little bi-weave off, making it an ineffective buffer. But it's a scissors-paper-stone game.
Well if he's that good he'll keep hammering your hull anyway and you can't regen your hull. Think of Bi-weave shields as having a rechargable portion of your HP. It means you can stay in the fight longer.

And you call yourself a PvPer?!? That is unbecoming behavior and attitude for such a playstyle. For shame! For shame!

So, I've parked the FDL for a while and have made the move to a hull-tanked shieldless FAS. I've had a couple of fights and have done ok...but I've not faced anyone with missiles yet. It's going to happen though. Is there any counter to missiles in a hull tanked FAS?

I'm guessing that stacked packhounds have no answer except high wake (TrueSilver did a thread on this a while back).

But what about counters to regular missiles or a single packhound launcher? Can PDs cope with these? Or is it a lost cause?

Dealing with missiles :
- 2 Point defense on utility slot close to weapons
- Boost away from missiles (FA on), mid boost turn FA off and turn to face missiles and drift backward (you need at least 500+ speed boost)
- Having TLB helps a lot (if you are in reload, you can try out maneuver or take distance and toggle SR)

Packhound :
- Having TLB helps a lot (if you are in reload, you can try out maneuver or take distance and toggle SR)
- Point defense loose effectiveness
- Easy to out maneuver

Best counter to hull tank is not missiles, it is high yield shell cannon
