Shields showing two red rings

About to leave the hangar (Cobra MK3) when I noticed my shields at two red rings.

I’m using all ‘A’ tier modules- 4A POWER PLANT, THRUSTERS, FSD and 3A Power Distributor.

Looking at my right hand MODULES panel don't see SHIELD GENERATOR ... that ought to be there right ?

What am I missing ?

looks like your shields aren't even there. check your power usage. you may be over.

while checking that, make sure your shield generator is turned on.

Thanks, figureed it out, somehow I'd, you know, removed my shield generator.

i remember, more than once, i loaded up on beam lasers, new stronger shield and shield boosters and boosted up and out of the station. dropped into a Conflict Zone and locked onto my first target. adrenaline rushing, deployed hardpoints only to have the entire ship shut down as my COVAS shouted about emergencies and power plant capacity exceeded and such.

all that to say, we've all been there. well, at least i have.
