Surprised Brony S Oct 3, 2017 #2 They only bring those up when you take out a heart. Regular weapons will take their shields down, in case you're wondering about that.

Bryan K Oct 3, 2017 #3 When you fire on a Cyclops with its shields up, you'll see little yellow squiggly lines all around where your weapons hit. That's your cue to switch to conventional weapons. Also, the shield rings appear on the HUD image.
