I almost wish this had been taken to its logical conclusion.... PDF's that miss give aggro to the ship, and the station then destroys it (current build, not beta build).
If one of the station guns missed its target and hit the station, would the station not then try to kill itself? Lol. Imagine coming in for a landing, and watching the station destroy itself around you...

It's actually an old bug, check out any ship then check the station, the stats don't update.
