I haven't been playing for a few months (on account of my PC dying). Having just built myself a new rig I decided to fly out to the Pleiades Sector to see the alien crash site.
As I approached I noticed a shimmering blue haze floating in the skies above. Has this already been discovered, I couldn't find any reference to it anywhere.

It appeared to be very close, its speed almost matched mine. Also there was a shifting nucleus in the centre. As I got closer the haze dissipated, possibly as I flew into it.
