As topic title really,
What are the benifits of this star system?

For example :-
Trade goods?
Shipyard prices?
Outfitting?

I have a permit but am a long way away, are there any bonuses in this system?
(Someone mentioned the shipyard is cheaper, is this true?)

IIRC you can buy most (all?) ships there with a discount.

For me and at least some others, the price doesn't reflect reality. It says the ship costs x, but it's actually x+10% bringing it up to the standard galactic value. I asked around, and both beta players with the permit and Kick starters with the permit paid more than the displayed amount.

They do occasionally sell slaves of the non-imperial variety, and the outfitting selection is top notch.

You can buy equipment with a discount (10%) and that is working.

The ships are supposed to be giving a 10% discount (indeed they advertise the fact), but from our clan's testing it's broken (last test was last night).

i noticed it too when i bought my Type 7 after the Gamma 2.0.
Anybody asked/ticketed this to frontier?

Yes equipment is cheaper. Rail guns, big FSDs, beefy shields are all bargains here. No the ship discount doesn't work.

I tried to buy a Python there and it kept rejecting the transaction. Sort of glad it did that because the 5M cr savings was supposed to be my insurance money.

If I had barely enough credits to cover the full normal cost of a Python it would have charged me that and left me with no insurance or upgrade money.

Ticketed it and needs to be fixed cus I'm reduced to derping around in a Cobra because I don't feel like buying my old Asp or Type 7 back and losing 1/5 the value as soon as I climb in the seat.

Yep ticketed on the old system for weeks (never had a reply)

And ticketed on the new systme as soon as it went live ... again no reply.

In fact of all the tickets i put in on both systems i've never had a single reply.

I checked the station yesterday and there was no 6A shield any more on stock, only 6B. Same for 5A FSD. I remember seeing them before.
Hats the point for the 10% discount if you cant find the top class equipment you want over there.

Btw: anybody tried to buy some ships there and see if the ship prices are proper now since 1.01?

I'm a Premium Beta backer, so no free permit for me. Is it possible to earn a permit in game, though? 10% discount seems quite tasty to me.

To get a permit in game you have to get a high elite rating in one of the three categories I believe.

Thanks for the info, I hope it turns out to be correct. Working my way to Elite explorer first. Probably trader second, then I'll have all the credits I want for my evil ship of doom.

Is that on the hull alone or also on the equipment?

I raised a couple of tickets. One for the discount not applying and another for the behaviour if you don't have enough cash, i.e. it just returns you to the "Home" screen without any indication as to what failed when you tried to purchase the ship.

The economy in that system is kinda screwed. It's almost impossible to make a profit selling anything there, as all demand has dropped to low, or at best medium. Most goods were selling high at the start of gamma, but that went away within a few days of gamma release. The only trade benefit now is from the introduction of rare goods, of which one is sold there in ridiculously low quantities.

I feel the need to point out that these goods didn't exist until the full release, along with half the missions. Pretty sure Frontier doesn't know what "gamma" means.

Seems to be for the hull only. But for anything Asp or larger it's still a substantial chunk of money.

That's the only reason I haven't sold back this Python even though I'm stuck and can't jump anywhere due to lousy max range.
