So I arrive back to Shinrarta Dezhra to pick up one of my ships at Jameson Memorial, to find the whole system under Lockdown according to system status. The Pilots Federation and Dark Wheel are both under Lockdown right now (TPF pending a Boom Critical state also), and there are checkpoints everywhere. Arriving at a checkpoint I see Elite system authority Cobras and Vipers spouting stuff such as "The obfuscation of enemy combatants is a criminal offence punishable by vaporisation" and "We're here to make sure the right side maintains dominance in this galaxy... now... and always."
The game describes operating in a state of Lockdown "to contain a situation that was rapidly spiralling out of control." I can't see much change in the commodities market there, though. The News mentions the Federation attacks on Banki, BD+03 2338 and, planned attacks on Nijotec and Polahukuna, all of which are roughly 95-120LY from this system. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
