Are the prices the same all over the galaxy, or I can get a better deal if I search around a bit?
I'd love to see overstock discounts for an Asp

Ships and equipment cost the same wherever they are sold afaik, unless sales are specifically announced on GALnet like the one in the LHS 3447 system a few months back or discounted as a Community Goal award.

I don't think rep has any effect on prices either.

If you earn a permit for one of these systems, you can go there for shopping. However, IMHO most often the discounts are so small that it doesn't really make sense if you are not buying a whole ship and outfitting it at the same time.
