The insurance industry exists in game, how about the banking industry.

We take out a loan for a ship...yes you'd require a decent rank level as you would require a valid licence in this world and of course
enough money to pay the deductible ...thus the same as an active insurance policy.

This would allow us to test out various ships and if we like it...we work our butts off to pay the premium and interest

...and if you miss a payment...it gets REALLY dangerous

You can already get loans to rebuy existing ships, via the insurance screen. What you can't get is a loan-in-advance to buy the ships up front.

And if they're going to charge us interest on loans, they should at least reciprocate and give us interest on cash in the bank. But FD will never do that, as that would be rewarding players for just sitting there doing nothing. In this game, as in any other MMO, rewards must be earned by participation.

If its anything like real life it will probably involve the following before the cha ching part

list of ships you own
criminal background check (those 122 bounties on me were all just one big misunderstanding.... honest)
fill in your total net worth on this application and this one and this one and this one (despite the fact that they already know all this about you because you bank with them)
please explain this credit card that we gave you two months ago
and 4 lawyers... one of which will probably go on vacation at the worst time

So by the time you get that python loan, you will be able to afford a Conda without a loan

OP's idea doesn't make any sense because of the way the game is balanced.

The more your rebuy is, the more money you make per hour. If you could just borrow money for the best ship immediately, then there would be no point in all the beginner/intermediate ships because you can just hop in a python immediately and start making 10 million CR/hour straight off the bat.

I understand that the whole "premium" and "payments" is supposed to be risk to balance out the reward, but the reward of hopping into a better ship immediately with no grinding is just too good to be balanced.
