Ship Builds & Load Outs Ship builds for everyone and everything!

List of builds for all ships/roles

Greetings Commanders, I decided to create a load out fit for every ship in the game. I will continue to update it as other ships are released. If everyone likes the idea of course. Some small notes on the different roles first however:

· Combat – Please ignore the weapons load outs if you find them sub-optimal (clipper I expect it to be the reason is given in brackets by the DPS build) these are my personal recommendations or guesses in which case I go for very heavy power consumption setups to make sure you are able to fit your preferred weapons instead. Mix and match to what you want not everyone is the same and not every situation is the same.

· Mining – I don’t do much mining really but I find that 2A refineries give extra bins over the default cargo racks basically more space but the larger ships may have 4A for the increased cargo space. Also you may notice that any mining builds with enough HP's have turreted Multi-cannons these can be configured as desired and are nothing more than a test to make sure that power usage is roughly optimal for the use of at least low-grade weapons along side the mining lasers.

· Exploration – My attempted Min/Maxing shines the most on these builds but usually at the cost of survivability or even sometimes jump range for lower fuel tank ships such as the eagle or vulture to increase the amount of available jumps without the need to refuel at every star. As pointed out by Zenith it is a good idea to also add shield generators and some power distributors that can boost to your build in case of any interdictions you may encounter. When building exploration vessels also make sure to have a look at heat sinks and Auto-Field Maintenance Units (AFMU's) for starting out or going on long range exploration missions.

· Trading – Basically the same as exploration if you don’t feel comfortable with trading with no shields or you are in starter/anarchy systems, put some shield generators on these are only guides for retrofitting after all. As mentioned by ocflyer it may also be preferable to put some weapons on your ship.

Notes:
Sometimes modules may be left empty there are usually one of two reasons
1. I have had power management issues and deemed them not useable for that build.
2. I have left them empty for you to add whatever you wish cargo racks, preferred weapon systems etc.
3. As of 1.3 the Li Yong-Rui systems provide 15% component discounts in his controlled systems for those who are a bit short on cash.

Bulkheads are left as lightweight alloys due to personal preference personally I would go with reactive Armour because I take into account the kinect weakness on ALL hulls but of course MIL grade is cheaper and has good all round damage protection mirrored for PVP maybe and reinforced for a bit less weight at the cost of some protection, the stats that I could dig up are as follows please keep in mind that the tests for these were not done by me and where done quite a while ago:

Type: Resistances: Kinetic | Thermal
Lightweight Alloy - 0% 0%
Reinforced Alloy- +25% +25%
Military grade Composite- +50% +50%
Mirrored Surface Composite- +25% +75%
Reactive Surface Composite- +75% +25%

Take note of the power priority setups too some builds won’t work if they aren’t setup like that if you do decide to copy my builds exactly. You don’t want to deploy weapons mid fight only to lose shields and have to disengage right ?

Last but not least don’t look at the prices...no seriously don’t, remember that these are A spec builds none of the builds below are cheap even a sidewinder costs a pretty credit. :3

Isn't the Python a medium landing pad? Or is it just allowed on mediums in Outposts (vs. Stations)?
It is indeed xD corrected and I went over the formatting and builds a bit so they should be more like what they were meant to be.

I like the idea of your website. Please keep it up.
How might it be possible to contribute?

I didn't create the website, I just use it to show the different builds you can make with it. There are currently two websites I know of you can use to create builds with these are:

http://coriolis.io/outfit/ - Coriolis

http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=701,5QG5QG,2-3w3w3w2M2M2M22,7Og03w2Uc - ED Shipyard

Personally though I prefer coriolis for builds but will use ED if I need more in-depth stats. If you want to contribute I would be extremely grateful of any different types of builds you may have come across (stealth builds, speed builds, tank builds etc.) so that I may be able to compile them for each ship it would allow me to make this a bit more in-depth for those that want to use their favourite ship for a specialised purpose.

For Anaconda Traders I prefer a 4A shield since it only gives marginally less shield strength, but better cargo. Also you are using a 8A Power Distributor which is overkill and decreases jump range. Here are some of my suggestions:

Not too bad. Only see 1 major flaw so far in your builds. Your Pirate Python is missing an FSD interdictor. Not gonna pirate too many people without that.

Took a quick glance at some stats. ..

FDL and Asp.. Explorer settings.. probably need some scanners
And the 6a fuel scoop is costly.. go for the b or c.

Yeah I suppose it is a bit overkill. I was thinking that the boosts to the station would be a bit faster but I've updated the table to state that. Also thanks for the stats they are quite handy :D

*facepalms* fixed and corrected chose a 2D due to weight saving although honestly a 4D is probably better for the A range but them cargo racks...

although this is true I do state my reasons:
Scanners
"· Exploration – My attempted Min/Maxing shines the most on these builds but usually at the cost of survivability or even sometimes jump range for lower fuel tank ships such as the eagle or vulture to increase the amount of available jumps without the need to refuel at every star. Plus don't forget to add the scanners I left them out because I know some people prefer to fly around and find planets instead of just scanning a system once. Advanced and detailed is the recommended setup to use though they use no power so don't worry about power consumption rates."

Prices
"
Last but not least don't look at the prices...no seriously don't, remember that these are A spec builds none of the builds below are cheap even a sidewinder costs a pretty credit."

A Viper built for single system Combat Zone work (lightest FSD that'll fit), capable of taking down an Elite Vulture NPC (take's a while ;)) just remember to pick a station that stocks better FSD!

http://coriolis.io/outfit/viper/03A3A2D2D3A3D2C1b1b19190404-40-24.AwRj4yyA.Aw1+kA==?bn=Viper CZ

That's a good idea i'll make some CZ/RES builds under the combat ones when I get some time :D

Ps. sorry for the double multi-quote posts only thought of it now.

I'm not sure if this ones still viable in SJA's new dangerous galaxy ;), I'd built this several updates back because I found the full fat Vulture too OP for RES combat.

It flies like a super agile Viper with additional utility slots and monster shields, there's plenty of internal slots and decent range and apart from the hull and FSD the rest of the equipment is fairly inexpensive (if you don't need the range drop to a smaller FSD).

Some of these builds are just silly. Trading in a Vulture, ever? Trading in an Asp or Python with no weapons? I suspect that you haven't actually traded in any of these as you wouldn't survive many NPC pirate interdictions these days.

The reason I made this was for people who wanted to use their favourite ships for whatever they wanted to use it for. The idea came from a post about someone wanting to mine in their federal dropship not because it was best for mining but simply because they liked it better of course most people replied with responses that instead suggested Asp/pythons and other mining ships even though the OP had said he didn't want to use these ships. I gave him a mining build for his fed dropship and that was that but it got me thinking maybe I should make a guide on different loadouts for different ships so that those that enjoy their ships better than the more suitable ones for that task, can instead use them for what they wanted to use them for. It's meant to be a kind of guideline, which can be freely edited to what you need to do with your ship think of them as templates. Also the reason for no weapons while trading is for jump range if you play open and wish to add some for protection from players that's up to you but some play solo/never see players while trading in open and the NPC's were about as harmful as a fluffy bunny when trading in my python. maybe you want to do some smuggling in your vulture for some rep gains to get away from the monotony of combat for a little bit? It's there for those that may need it and I have put them in categories like fighter/explorer so that you know which role that ship is suited for.

TLDR: I made it like this so people could enjoy their favourite ships with whatever loadout they wanted basically.Motivation was from this thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=157904
