SHIP COCKPITS (with DK2)

I noticed the green HUD and heard it was mucheasier to read. it looks much better than i thought it would. is it worth changing iyo? can you point me to instructions for doing so please?

Great effort phier, you might want to check out the pinned thread in this VR folder which explains how to get a mirror window while using the rift, works well for capturing video!

I worked like hell to get my clipper, which i finally got last night... have to agree, disapointed, i miss looking down at the landing pad when landing.. so far the asp is my favourite... but i just got an eagle to have a go in a combat zone for the first time and i really like that, you really feel locked in.. not saying i would trade in my clipper for it but i think for a bit of a change from trading its great fun.

You must find and edit the GraphicsConfiguration.xml file (I'm using notepad++).
My file is in C:\Users\MyNAME\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1001.

Find and change those lines:

<GUIColour>
<Default>
<LocalisationName>Standard</LocalisationName>
<MatrixRed> 1, 0, 0 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 0, 1, 0 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0, 0, 1 </MatrixBlue>

The values that I use for the UI in the videos:

<MatrixRed> 0.18, 0, -1 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> -1, 1, -1 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0.15, 0.32, 1 </MatrixBlue>

This is my preferred rift colour scheme.

<MatrixRed> 1, 1, 2 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> -2, 2, -2 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 0.33, 0.5, 1 </MatrixBlue>

You can see it in action in my Rift video below:.

blue was gonna be my next stop! thanks to you too!

That ain't blue, it's WHITE! :)

the green pixels are the most dense on the Rift's display, but even more dense is having red green and blue all on at once, hehe.

Oh and it's worth playing with the hud brightness setting (found on far right tab of right hand ship computer) to get a comfortable setting when trying out different colours schemes.

Not watching those videos!!
My rift is on its way and I don't want to spoil it for myself.
Good post though...
