really? It's like second on my list after passenger transport missions...

But you'll need crew, especially stewards to keep your passengers happy while en-route to your destination. Unless we go for a more sophisticated system where there is passenger social classes based on passengers wealth and their needs, a passenger who is immigrating would be happy to have the transportation while a wealthy mogul from the empire would want to be pampered all the way.

My proposal is to have the class system from the age of ocean liners ( liners like Titanic, Olympic, Mauretania, Aquitania etc ), so in order of richest to poorest, First Class ( for the rich and famous), Second Class ( for the wealthy middle class), Third Class ( for budget travelers ) and finally Immigrant Class ( for people who are immigrating and have no money to their name ).

Of course you'll need crew on your ship to serve the passengers ( be it hired humans, slaves or droids and robots ) and also the facilities to accommodate them. I wouldn't mind having a large passenger ship with the sole purpose of moving npcs ( and players hopefully) around human space.
 
But... Those empty seats are where I keep my adult parodies, Indiana moans and the crystal helmet.

It's on my list of 'stuff I want' from the DDF. I loved my crew in STO, was the only thing that kept me there for the 3 months I played.
