Nah, those were the more neutral low profile decals. The backer decal will stand out a lot more.

Nope, there is a mistake in the newsletter... they aren't decals they are paint jobs.

I think the decals were an extra £5 if I remember rightly.

See this comment by Susimetsa. Newsletter had error in saying they were decals. Should have said "skins"

I really do not like the ship decals. just cheapens the whole game visually in my opinion.

Yeah, it's not like pirates and ne'er do wells ever painted their ships with outlandish designs in the other games.

I don't like them either. I'm not against being able to get a new paint job. I just don't like these ones.

I guess it would be like a crest or small design that you can make and submit to FD.... Maybe?

The backer's decal is likely to be something quite unique (the ED logo perhaps), and will grant you access to the founder's world (once you've found it). That's my understanding of it anyway.

No it's a ship's decal.

get a digital code when the game is released to apply a transferrable decal to your ship
