Ship destroyed at Jameson Crash Site?

I've visited this site more times than I can remember.
I just landed there in my DBX in Horizons Solo. Boarded the SRV and got a message my ship hull was at 50%. Shortly after the ship was destroyed. Lost 6 Titan Drive Components (which were in a corrosion resistant cargo rack, so no corrosive damage).
Is there any way I can see what destroyed the ship? What would be there that could destroy my ship?

If you check your journal and look for events at that timestamp you might see something that tells you what happened. There isn't normally anything hostile there in solo mode.

OK well this would explain it.. Looks like a pirate scanned me, saw the TDC's and decided to attack, following me to the ground and destroying my ship after I landed. Playing without sound on, I guess I missed it X( Also guess I've never visited Jameson with valuable cargo before...

Gutted to lose 6 TDCs, was at Jameson just to get the mats to buy the SCO FSD :(

Reading the journal entry I am shocked.

I was convinced that NPC pirates didn’t stick to their time limit but started shooting early.

Oh my gosh what a horrible ending to that story, I am sorry to hear it. I hope you're not to discouraged to re-farm your titan drives. I have run into pirates at the jameson site, and had to board the ship and take off. I got a 4 or 5 npc pirate attack once there when i was in a cobra, its speed is the only thing that got me out of there.

I once killed inadvertently a commander at Jameson's...

Was keeping an eye on the bandwidth monitor, then noticed the numbers going crazy high (which means a commander was approaching).
Typed in the comm: "Hello commander! I hope you come in peace".
(long silence)
Response: "who? me?"
Me: "Yes, you. I hope you are no ganker?"
(silence...must have been busy typing)
Loud sound right behind me: BOOOOOM!

Lesson learned:
  • Don't text and fly
  • Don't talk to the driver

I laughed way too much than I should have that day :'-D

I once pulled someone for ye joke pirate routine and they asked me to blow them up because they were stuck with fa off and couldn't stop spinning

I told them how to access the ship tab in the right panel to toggle flight assist since I couldn't remember the default keybind for FA, joked that the self destruct button was there and that would also get them back to the station

their shields dropped and 30 seconds later they exploded
