Ship Escrow?

Hello all,

Due to my own carelessness I accidentally sold one of my stored A fitted ships last night when attempting to sell the ship I was currently in. It was late and I read the warning prompts but there was a disconnect between what I thought was doing and what I actually was doing :p.

Fortunately, this ship was not engineered at all.

I have a few ships that I have spent several weeks working on and I was thinking how upsetting it would have been had I accidentally sold one of those.

To my knowledge, if a ship when engineer mods is sold where is no way to recover the mods or the ship. If an engineered ship is sold by accident several weeks could be lost.

Has anyone suggested or is there a plan to somehow put sold ships into some sort of temporary storage so they can by bought back?

I know if you sell a module individually you have until the next server tick (10 minutes) to get it back but this cannot be done with a ship from what I can tell.

You are right. It is a stupid oversight.
A buyback option on ships would be a good thing to have.

It's tempting to ask you to post this in the Suggestions section of the Forum. But the suggestions area is a waste of space.

Alrhough never having been caught by the problem myself, it is a major concern and I back your suggestion.

I did not know there was a suggestions section, I even looked for one lol.

Although you haven't moaned about the loss of your ship too much, you could try putting in a ticket to support explaining your mistake and they might give you your ship back.

Thank you for the suggestion.I already bought the same ship again and fitted it out. I had enough to cover the loss thankfully.

Yeah I accidentally sold my Engineered Corvette once. Ain't even mad, had to re-mod everything again. Mind you that this was before patch 2.1.05 though. Support could not restore the ship. I wish we could key in the ship rebuy value before being able to sell it. That'll stop people from accidentally selling it

Things like shields and engines are not too bad. But trying to G5 8 multicannons can take a bit :p. I would cry a little if I had to do it again lol.

Yes this is a totally needed feature. Should be implemented ASAP. I stress a bit every time I switch ships, which is a lot!
