Ships Ship for exploration and Christmas Carrier Convoy

I've decided to join the Christmas Carrier Convoy (CCC) as a freelancer. I'll be using my engineered Type-6 to bring supplies out to Colonia. Anyone have thoughts on my build, which is as follows:

you asked for it, so here we go:

- 3A powerdistributor is over the top, 3D should be enough, especially with your modded thrusters - maybe try to get a low ENG focussed mod on it.

- i personally would flip AFMU and shield generator around. 4D shield gives 50% more shield, and you can enjoy planetary landing more freely (with the really low hull of a t6)

- if you can find the money fit a 4B or 4A fuelscoop.

- now - i know you want to fit as much cargo as possible. you definetly want an AFMU, because in the case of heatdamage/cargo-hatch, you risk loosing your cargo, so you need an AFMU... but one of the things i really enjoyed on the last convoy i took part, was driving with an srv around the base camps .... so, if you go for a srv, you could fit a class 5 fuelscoop ... but that is fully up to you.

Since T6 is my favorite ship, I thought I might chip in.

I would place the 3A power plant to storage and put a 2A in. That will be enough for exploration needs and saves some weight. Also would store the shield booster, as with the shields T6 carries even the top of the line booster does next to no good (especially if not even modded for increased resistances) and that thing weights 1.3 tons.

As CMDR goemon said, the power distribution is bit over the top with 3A, but I might go as low as 2D (another 0.4 Ly to jump range). Still boosts with that one.

I don't carry AFMU, but that is up to you. Would consider throwing it out if you just head to Colonia and do not plan to go anywhere else afterwards.

As for the SRV, as CMDR goemon said, the class 2G hangar is enough/optimal. One tip, if your hangar pushes the power draw over the 2A power plant limit, don't upgrade the power plant. Hangar is never "on" at the same time as fuel scoop+cargo hatch and while landing/taking-off you always have time to power up/power down systems from engineering panel, so while flying keep the hangar off and turn it on only once you are landed. That way you save weight in the power plant.
