Ship insurance/cargo insurance?

I see the basic ship insurance, and that is cool as long as you save some cash. I have also seen listed a higher lever of insurance Beta? and cargo insurance? How do you get these? I only ask after losing 850K in gold, and almost not having enough to replace my ship.

Beta insurance is only for people who backed the game, while it was in beta.

Cargo insurance isn't implemented yet.

What you seek is a shield generator in unpopulated space with your boost button unmapped while playing in solo with a docking computer.

The higher level of insurance was given out to people who backed during the Kickstarter campaign - before we knew if the game would even be made. It was a reward for early backing and it just makes insurance a bit cheaper - it does NOT cover cargo.

You can't get it now (unless you can use the faster than light time dilation effects to go back to December 2012 )

Cargo insurance isn't implemented as yet...

Beta insurance is just cheaper insurance for those who bought the game before it came out....doesn't make too much difference except slightly less pain when you slam your ship in to the side of a space station...

And my first piece of advice for every new pilot is don't leave home without enough money to rebuy.... it's there in your status screen so no excuse.... I actually never drop below 3 rebuy's - one for being unlucky, two for the extra beer i shouldn't have had and 3rd to stop me walking away from the game when i realise i'm back in a free sidewinder.... it does happen!
