Horizons Ship Integrity...repair or not

I notice this new feature gets damaged no matter how little I fly. even with no combat ina type 9, in very short order I have racked up 5000credits of damage. should I bother repairing it as the extra click click drives me nuts. will it adversely affect me if I don't? and finally why not have it in the repair all main button..save time.

thx
Ronin

I would recommand to have a look at it from time to time. If you are on 0% integrity, you get 30% more damage to hull in a fight. Nothing that someone wanna have :)

Check in on it every few weeks, no need to click on it after every dock (hense why not under repair all). Just like ships/aircraft in the real world, intergrity checks (for microfractures) are done every few months, major checks every few years or after a certain number of cycles. No need to obsess over it.

It is basically ED's attempt at simulating the ships hull slowly degrading from the daily stresses. Degradation is based on time spent in supercruise.

thx. I can let it slide a bit without making the hull brittle. I figured it would not be that bad but didn't have the specifics.

took my anaconda to the lagoon nebula for a few days made some HOT mistakes and had to repair ship a bit. when I got back it was 200k for integrity..but 10 mil in exploration data so not too bad I guess.

wounder if they could make it like the millennium falcon and have the odd sparks go off in cocpit if you drop below 25%...add to immersion a tad.
